Since I was little, I've always strived to make others happy on a daily basis because I fully believe everyone deserves kindness. My goal as a website developer, is to not only work in this manner but to also ensure that you have a website that you can be happy about owning.
While I personally feel myself to be a developer, this hasn't stopped me from working on my design skills either. I get better with every logo, website and graphic because I've always loved, that with web development, you get that mix between using media and coding.
I took this program because I fully believe that marketing goes hand-in-hand with web development. With my major in marketing, I used my web and design skills every opportunity I had (which was a lot). I also learned how to write a mean Porter's Five Forces and, if I do say so myself, learned how to be a great presenter.
Additionally, I learned basic accounting and finance as well as won a few case competitions.
Here I learned all my basic development skills. I primarily focused on web development and programming here and received a diploma with honors.
I liked high school. This is where I learned that I really liked business and programming.
Built on the Wordpress platform, this project was developed alongside Focus Communications for an Australian based company providing strategic communication courses to people all around the world. This even included a lot of custom functionality like certificate printing, event connecting to Humanitix and more.
I took over for a previous developer on this site and work alongside Focus Communications to maintain it and bring new functionality. This multisite accounts for 9 different cities across Canada and I develop and design new pages for the frontend but primarily create new functionality for their chapters to manage and view data.
I created custom reporting systems for every city to view essential data (in PDF, Excel and CSV) to make their day of flights easier as well made functions like disabling form entries and clearing out data. I also created custom manuals for usage and scenarios for the websites.
Alongside Focus Communications, I developed and designed this website for a charity raising funds for cancer research. It was developed to have a lot of motion and ease of use to get information across easily and utilizing PHP, Wordpress, CSS and HTML.
This site alongside digital marketing provided by Focus Communications helped to raise millions of dollars in 2024.
I developed and designed this site alongside Focus Communications on the WordPress platform. The site is equipped to utilize WooCommerce and The Events Calendar along with a custom built system for special dynamic promotions based on quantities and restrictions as well as a custom registration page with easy to use buttons that don't allow for many, if any, mishaps.
The site also has a custom CSV report for the owners to determine who's coming to the event easily.
Alongside Focus Communications, I developed and designed the main site for the Alberta International Airshow event in Alberta, Canada. It was developed for the Wordpress platform using PHP, HTML and CSS for additional functionality to display the information for the event ranging from the performers to their latest news to their static displays.
I also developed a custom refund reporting feature to export necessary refunds after the 2019 cancellation. It involved Gravity Forms and the use of custom PHP to make an Excel file.
